Our process

There are many different methods of crack sealing asphalt, but they are not all created equal. A routed, hot-pour crack sealing treatment will last much longer than your standard cold-pour (high flow), non-routed crack sealing job.

GreenSeal offers the most durable, long-lasting, and high-quality method of crack sealing available, which meets the highest specifications. How do we do it?

ROUTING

We use an industrial router to increase the volume of the void of the crack or joint, which creates a wide tough in which to pour the sealant. This process ensures an increased and uniform surface area on the vertical walls of the crack or joint, and provides a superior surface area onto which the sealant material will bond.

CLEANING

After the routing is completed, we use a large industrial vacuum so the routed cracks or joints are completely dry and free of sand, dust or other foreign debris. The vacuum collects any road dust, ensuring that is it not blown all over your property.

THREE-PASS APPLICATION

We apply three passes of hot-poured, rubberized material (ASTM 211) sealant over the joint or crack surface, making sure that the material is evenly applied, and flush with the adjacent pavement or be feathered to prevent damage by snow plows.
